Where Does Avocado Tree Grow?

Avocados are native to Mexico, Guatemala and West Indies which means they are tropical or subtropical trees.

But gone are the days avocados were limited to such environment.

Today, this very much in demand fruit is grown in almost every corner of the world in diverse climates. Certainly, AvoPro client-friends are growing it in all NZ zones, even in microclimates thought of as impossible, previously.

Some enthusiasts have extended avocado growing to really cold places. They grow them in simple protected enclosures or cold greenhouses.

This is like growing them indoors, in a sun room.
